The AMOS Project in a Nutshell

The AMOS Project is a lab course in which we teach agile methods (Scrum and XP) using a single semester-long project. Student team sizes are 5-8 people. There are usually many projects, one for each team, all of which are sponsored by an industry partner. This year’s project line-up contains nine projects, with sponsors of all company sizes. Critical to the success of the course is a clear distinction between the learning goals (process concepts and capabilities) and the example to which they are being applied, that is, the particular project idea provided by an industry partner. A presentation on my personal blog illustrates how this works. Visual and other impressions from The AMOS Project can be gathered from this blog (scroll down if upon clicking you only get to see this post again).
