The Black Duck Has Spoken on Open Source License Growth

The Open Source Research Group uses Black Duck Software’s Ohloh.net service to perform empirical research on open source projects. Below, you can see how the black duck landed for Gottfried Hofmann, who recently finished his thesis on open source license growth. His empirical finding that permissive licenses have started overtaking restrictive licenses around 2001 has been submitted to a software engineering conference.
